These Terms & Conditions govern the website design, hosting and managed website services provided by BuildMyPlatform (“we”, “our”, “us”) to the client (“you”, “your”).
By purchasing or using our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
2. Managed Website Service
BuildMyPlatform provides websites as a fully managed service on a monthly subscription basis.
This includes:
- Website design and setup
- Managed web hosting
- Website maintenance
- Security and updates
- Technical support
- One .co.uk domain name (where included within your package)
Our services are designed to provide businesses with a professional online presence without large upfront costs.
3. Website Ownership & Licensing
Websites created under our subscription plans remain part of a managed service operated by BuildMyPlatform unless otherwise agreed in writing.
The website framework, structure, design systems, server configuration, licensed software, premium plugins and development setup remain the property of BuildMyPlatform.
Clients are granted the right to use the website while subscribed to an active plan.
4. Domain Names
Where a domain name is registered by BuildMyPlatform as part of a package, the domain remains under our management during the subscription period.
We maintain control of the domain to ensure proper operation, security and management of the service.
Clients may request transfer or ownership of a domain and/or website for an agreed one-time buyout fee, subject to written agreement and settlement of any outstanding balances.
5. Client Content Ownership
Clients retain ownership of:
- Logos
- Business names
- Written content supplied by the client
- Images supplied by the client
- Business information supplied by the client
BuildMyPlatform does not claim ownership over your business identity or supplied materials.
6. Access & Permissions
Standard website packages do not include administrator-level access, server access, hosting control panel access or plugin management access.
Where login access is provided, this is normally supplied as:
- Editor access
- Shop Manager access
- Content management access
This allows clients to manage content where appropriate without affecting website stability or licensed software.
7. Website Changes & Support
Clients may request changes, updates or support during their subscription period.
Reasonable minor updates may be included depending on the package selected.
Large changes, redesigns, additional functionality or extensive development work may incur additional charges.
8. Payments
Services are billed monthly unless otherwise agreed.
Failure to maintain payments may result in:
- Suspension of services
- Temporary website removal
- Restriction of access
- Cancellation of hosting and managed services
BuildMyPlatform reserves the right to remove or suspend websites where accounts remain unpaid.
9. Cancellation
Clients may cancel their subscription by providing written notice.
Upon cancellation:
- Hosting services may be terminated
- Managed services will stop
- Website access may be removed
- Domains registered and managed by BuildMyPlatform remain under our control unless transferred under separate agreement
Any transfer, migration or buyout requests may incur additional fees.
10. Website Transfers & Migrations
Subscription websites are not automatically transferable upon cancellation.
Clients requesting:
- Full website files
- Website migration
- Domain transfer
- Full ownership rights
may be subject to an agreed transfer or buyout fee.
Premium plugins, licensed software and proprietary systems owned by BuildMyPlatform may be excluded from transfers.
11. Backups & Security
BuildMyPlatform maintains backups and security systems as part of the managed service.
Clients must not attempt to:
- Duplicate the website for external hosting
- Copy proprietary website structures
- Redistribute licensed software
- Gain unauthorised administrative access
Unauthorised duplication or misuse of services may result in immediate termination.
12. Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for:
- Providing accurate business information
- Ensuring supplied content does not infringe copyright
- Reviewing website content before approval
- Maintaining communication regarding updates or requests
13. Limitation of Liability
While we aim to provide reliable and professional services, BuildMyPlatform shall not be held liable for:
- Loss of business
- Loss of revenue
- Downtime caused by third-party providers
- External cyber attacks
- Search engine ranking changes
- Client misuse of website systems
14. Changes To These Terms
BuildMyPlatform reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions where necessary.
Updated terms will apply from the date they are published.
